This body of work began with my excavation of a burial ground for our pets and farm animals on my families’ property in rural PA, where I unearthed and cast a skeleton which belonged to my pet horse. I used the tools of archaeology on a site still used by living individuals, and recorded emotional conversations with my family for a video linking land to heritage. Additional works contain symbolic references to the cosmos, ritual objects, familial bonds, biological cycles, the underworld and afterlife.
